What we did... An Electronic Point of Sales (EPOS) system is crucial to businesses like M&S in gathering sales data, stock management info and in collating information about its customers. The project was to analyse M&S's EPOS system in 2004 for which we won an M&S sponsored Business Award. Lee Greenhill, imp-ressions' founder, was the Team Leader on this project. What we did... Great North Eastern Railway (GNER), now operated by National Express East Coast, engaged imp-ressions in providing a complete analysis of the professional development of its staff in 2003. Following the Continued Professional Development of its staff, GNER became the top performing rail operator until it lost the East Coast Mainline Franchise in 2007/8. What we did... imp-ressions was engaged by the Managing Director, Anthony Bryant, to refresh and rebuild the company's website on a Joomla! content management system. The website was completed in around two weeks and the business has gone from strength to strength. Some changes have been implemented since the original website was commissioned, however much of the original content still exists on the site at www.laurelcs.com.
What we did... Cityscape Maps Ltd design and manufacture a large proportion of the UK's tourist maps and dispensers that can be found in railway stations, in town centres and tourist hotspots. imp-ressions was commissioned to provide advice and options to change hosting provider. We successfully provided a cheaper option, with unlimited e-mail addresses, and capacity for the growth of the website and other future requirements.
What we did... Chris Rooke approached imp-ressions for a completely new website presence, including domain registration, hosting, design & build, and optimisation. Chris Rooke Management's website can be found at the top of many search engine results for its chosen keywords, and is a clean yet very informative website. What we did... IEMA benefits from imp-ressions in providing marketing services for its business. Since Director Lee Greenhill got involved with IEMA in 2004, the institute has gone from 7,000 members to approaching 15,000. IEMA has grown throughout the recession and is striding ahead as the most influential body for environmental professionals.
What we did... Direct Quality Flooring, a newly formed company, required a new e-commerce website to generate online sales for its product portfolio. This was aligned to an SEO strategy to rank favourably for its keywords. For a new company, it now occupies top spot (or in the top five rankings) in many search engine results pages for its keywords that has generated sales for DQF. What we did... When being involved in marketing and web design we can't be picky in taking the jobs we are offered. Naughties4you, an online sex toys retailer based in Lincoln, approached us in 2007 for a new website design built on an existing OSCommerce e-commerce system. Flash animations and adverts were designed as a side project.
