It happens to all of us; there’s a website design to do and the canvas remains blank.

This is when I tend to delve into the goldmine of the internet as there are some great sites out there that list great examples that can give that little bit of inspiration.

1. 1stwebdesigner: created by Latvian Dainis Graveris, is a great source of examples, tutorials and resources.
2. Web Design Ledger: is a site written by web designers for web designers. Another great source for examples, tutorials and resources.
3. Chris Spooner: This guy is a flipping genius. Tutorials on a wide range of creative designs using Photoshop and Illustrator.
4. Design Instruct: Great resource for creative design tutorials and examples, plus special effects and icon/logo design.
5. Twitter: There are hundreds of designers on there with links to their websites who have done some great work.

So next time you’re stuck for an idea or concept, or just want to keep up with what everyone else is doing, get onto these sites and start putting some concepts together!
