Our most-asked question at the moment is “when will the next Google PageRank update take place?”.
From what we know, and the guys at Google are rather secretive about this, the next update will take place between September and October.
This next update is likely to be a large one. As we know, Google has cleaned up its SERPS and we reckon that there’ll be a greater emphasis on relevant links and disregard the irrelevant links. Some authorities believe that blog posts will be hit particularly hard.
Many PageRanks will probably drop a point or two, including ours, so we’re on our guard as to what’s going to happen.
The search for relevant links and partnerships between sites will be a bar-raising activity by Google and will provide another reason to engage in SEO activity not only to boost the search engine ranking, but for PageRank and protecting the current PageRank rating.
It’s also worth remembering that PageRank isn’t the only measure for Search Engine Ranking, so there’s no need to panic!
