We use powerful, free open source software that are completely customisable and easy to use, and for the majority of our e-commerce projects we choose Prestashop.
Prestashop is a relatively new player on the open-source e-commerce market and is one of the easiest for you to upload products, images, add combinations like different weights, sizes colours, change prices and set shipping and delivery options. The new Prestashop also features a 1-step checkout process that means that customers can checkout lightening quick without having register!
Because it is based on a php templating system called Smarty, it’s lightening quick and really easy to optimise for the search engines with purpose built modules to set meta titles, meta descriptions, search engine friendly urls, and lots more.
Zen Cart, OsCommerce, Cube Cart, X-Cart and Magento all have their merits, but in our opinion Prestashop is the best for customers that haven’t had an online presence before. Prestashop is also the best solution for a relaunch and redesign too as it will save you time on the long run with product management.
Imp-ressions has used the Prestashop platform to deliver websites that offer iPod and electronics, air conditioning, kitchen refrigeration equipment, flooring tiles, play shapes, and lots more. We’ve also custom coded Prestashop modules to include new and unique credit card modules.
